After America , There is No Place to Go

For several months, I’ve not written much into this blog site. With each passing day, I grow more appalled at the socialist/Marxist direction our country is taking. The Obama regime is, I’m convinced, on a course to transform our beloved Republic into a socialist nightmare.

It is now abundantly clear that Obama’s guiding star is Marxism, but sadly, few people today really appreciate what that means, having been educated by the public brainwashing system we call “Public Schools.” Some will dismiss, as they always do, such statements, preferring to live in denial. However, unless our people wake up and vote these power-hungry mavens of Marxism out of power this November, I fear we will slip into an era of darkness unparallel in human history. 

The article below was written by a woman who witnessed the takeover of her country in the 30s by Hitler. There are terrifying parallels to her story and what we are experiencing in the United States today. Can it happen here? Your life and the lives of your family may depend on how you answer that question. Read the article through and decide for yourself.

Don’t Let Freedom Slip Away

 What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history.  I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history.  We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote..  I’ve never read that in any American publications.  Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression.  Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed.  We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.

Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily.  Young people were going from house to house begging for food.  Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.  My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need.  Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.

The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other.  Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna, Linz, and Graz were destroyed.  The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933.  We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.  Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group — Jewish or otherwise.  We were led to believe that everyone was happy.  We wanted the same way of life in Austria. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family.  Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. 

Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.

We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades.  The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.

After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order.  Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed.  The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.

Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women.  Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home.  An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family.  Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Hitler Targets Education -
Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:

Our education was nationalized.  I attended a very good public school.  The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore.  Instead, we sang “Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,” and had physical education.

Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance.  Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum.  They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time.  The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail.  The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination.  The rest of the day we had sports.  As time went along, we loved it.  Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free.  We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had. 

My mother was very unhappy. 

When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent.  I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful.  There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination.  I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it.  Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home.  I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing.  Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me.  They lived without religion.  By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler.  It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly.  As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

Equal Rights Hits Home:

In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established.  All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps.  At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.

Soon after this, the draft was implemented.  It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps.  During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys.  They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps.  After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines.  When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat.  Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack.  I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.   

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare: 

When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers.  You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government.  The state raised a whole generation of children..  There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology.  By this time, no one talked about equal rights.  We knew we had been had.  

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care.  Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna.  After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone.  Doctors were salaried by the government.  The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full.  If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn.  There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine.  Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and immigrated to other countries.

As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income.  Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household.  We had big programs for families.  All day care and education were free.  High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized.  Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing. 

We had another agency designed to monitor business.  My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables.  Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners.  Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar.  He couldn’t meet all the demands.  Soon, he went out of business.  If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.

We had consumer protection.  We were told how to shop and what to buy.  Free enterprise was essentially abolished.  We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers.  The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.  

“Mercy Killing” Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps.  The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated.  So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded.  When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work.  I knew one, named Vincent, very well.  He was a janitor of the school.  One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van.  I asked my superior where they were going.  She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write.  The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months.  They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.  

As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death.  The villagers were not fooled.  We suspected what was happening.  Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months.  We called this euthanasia.  

The Final Steps – Gun Laws: 

Next came gun registration.  People were getting injured by guns.  Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns.  Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms.  Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns.  The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. 

Anyone who said something against the government was taken away.  We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria.  Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath.  Instead, we had creeping gradualism.  Now, our only weapons were broom handles.  The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.

After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria.  Women were raped, preteen to elderly.  The press never wrote about this either.  When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process.  They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned.  We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses.  Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized.  Those who couldn’t paid the price.  There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians.  This is an eye witness account.

I’m turning 59 this month. Honestly, I don’t feel old, but people my age always seemed so ancient to me when I was in my 20s and 30s. I can only say that with the passage of years, God has continually shown His grace and mercy in my life, and I can confidently say that only by His grace I remain on this earth. During my sojourn, I’ve learned a few things, perhaps only a few really useful things, and I’d like to share one of them with you.

The most important thing I’ve learned is that nothing in this world is truly reliable. Nothing in this world can give you true security, peace, or lasting comfort. I’ve learned that we must lift our eyes much higher than this world for that sort of thing.

Since I was in my early twenties I was called by the grace of God into faith in His Messiah Jesus, or Yeshua as He was known by His early followers. I did not come willingly. I resisted His call for a time, and fancied myself more than capable of running my own life and taking care of myself, thank you very much. In short, I liked very much being my own god in my own universe. I despised Christians who tried to “witness” to me about Jesus, or tell me I was a “sinner.” After all, as god of my own universe, I absolved myself of all wrongdoing, and besides, as a highly developed primate what did I care about imaginary ‘heavens’ or ‘hells’ since I was the final judge of all reality and ‘truth.” (NOT) Although my atheist friends like to tag me as ‘religious,’ I do not consider myself so. I’ve just faced TRUTH, and His name is Yeshua.

Truth… Now that has a way of being a terribly annoying thing when you’re busy making up reality according to your own opinion, isn’t it? Truth also has a tendency to knock the SNOT out of you when you can’t avoid it, and run into its brick facade! In the end, I lost the battle, and God, (the real one) was the victor. It really wasn’t much of a ‘battle’ since the outcome was already pre-determined, but I’ll leave that for another blog. 

I’ve learned that beyond the door of  TRUTH (and surrender to it) there is yet another door… TRUST. Specifically, I am speaking of TRUST IN GOD to lead, guide, order, and determine not only the events of our lives, but also the days of our lives, and the end of our lives in this world. You see, I’m completely convinced that all there is is not all that is seen. Stated less mystically, our time and sojourning in this present world are only a small part of a much larger span of life and existence that we have scarcely begun to fathom. Jesus promised us eternal life, and yet, how many of us cling to this present world as if it were the only existence we will ever know.

All this to say, brace for impact pilgrims. The world around you is about to come apart. Your life, your security, your possessions, your comforts, and your plans are about to radically change. I used to be able to ignore this to some degree, but the evidence all around me, and the witness of the Spirit inform me that we must actively, sincerely, and deliberately put ourselves into the mighty hands of God with TRUST. Certainly what is coming in terms of painful difficulty is not the end of the story! The birth pangs of an expectant mother (I’m told)  feel sometimes like the end of the world, but they are only part of a process of life. A new life is coming forth, and God has a plan for each of us.

The following video may be frightening to those whose hope is set on this world. I cannot apologize for sharing it with you, because I believe it is the truth. Some will try to discount it as so much fear-mongering by a worldly man who just wants to sell newsletters. However, before you blow him off, or give into the temptation to marginalize me or anyone else who cares enough about you to share this, I beg you to consider the follow scripture:

And the lord commended the unjust steward,
because he had done wisely:
for the children of this world are in their generation
wiser than the children of light.
(Luke 16:8 KJV)

 What can you do with this information? First, have a long and sincere conversation with God. He led Joseph in wisdom just as He gave wisdom to the early believers on numerous occasions after the fall of Jerusalem. He will also lead you and I. I cannot tell you what to do, and wouldn’t want the responsibility of giving too much advice. You need to hear from God. The most important thing is don’t walk another step in denial! Get your instructions, and ACT, not in fear, but in FAITH. It’s pretty simple really. In all cases, however, STAND AGAINST A SPIRIT OF FEAR that is coming upon the whole world. Act in diligence, wisdom, and faith, but never in fear.

Have you noticed lately how much more basic necessities cost than they did even a few years ago? Does it seem like your dollars just aren’t worth as much? Have you ever wondered why?

Back in the late 70s and 80s (for those of you old enough to remember) grocery and department stores displayed big banners depicting some guy smashing down a dollar sign with a sledge-hammer with the bold words “Inflation Buster Prices” printed on it. Every store boasted that all we needed to do to beat inflation was shop in their store where their prices were “inflation busting.” This was nonsense of course because the dirty little secret that few of us knew then is that inflation is caused by printing money! Under the Carter administration, the Federal Reserve was printing hundreds of billions of dollars in worthless paper! As manufacturers caught on to the inflated money supply, they would raise their prices to make up the difference in the perceived value of the money.

Lately, I’ve formed another very different image of the little man with the sledge-hammer. He’s still smashing the dollar sign, but this time he’s from the Federal Reserve and he’s actually destroying the dollar!

The chart and video series below is something I suspect the Federal Reserve would rather you wouldn’t see. The reason is, if you see it and actually understand it, (assuming you have educated yourself beyond pabulum they gave you in public school) YOUR HEAD WILL EXPLODE AND BLOOD WILL SQUIRT OUT OF YOUR EYES!!

All I can say is, we the people of the United States have been systematically and deliberately ROBBED! I can’t tell you what to do about it. Perhaps you should consider investing your shrinking dollars into something tangible that you can hold in your hands. I can’t advise you further because I’m not a financial advisor. What I DO know is, before we try to do anything, we must become better informed about what is going on in our nation’s capitol. It appears that we are being governed by a mixture of incompetents and malicious “players” who are using our banking system to enslave us!

I will even go farther… I am convinced that a relatively small “power elite” are deliberately trying to destroy the economy of the United States in order to fully implement their plan for a global government and economy controlled by themselves. If they aren’t stopped, we will experience a global social/economic disaster beyond anything seen in history. Obama is only a puppet in the larger agenda. Far more powerful and sinister forces are pulling his strings, and orchestrating his decisions. The fact that he may be a willing “useful idiot” in the establishment of this “New World Order,” is unimportant.

I do not entirely trust snopes since the couple who run that site are liberals and often skew their “findings” to favor Barack Obama. I have been trying to warn people since last summer before the election that Barack Hussein Obama is a dangerous man. I knew he was a far-left ideologue, and even the drive-by media acknowledged it. As revelations began to come to light about his close associations with people like William Ayers, (an avowed Marxist-Leninist, famous for his Weather Underground activities and participation in terrorist bombings in the 60s) and the “Rev” Wright, a Marxist “Liberation Theology” proponent and racist, I knew that Obama’s fascination with Marxism was real.

An Eye-Opening Experience

In 2006, I was a guest speaker at Obama’s High School, an elite private school in Honolulu called Punahou School. Punahou was originally a Christian missionary school, built on land granted in 1829 by Queen Ka’ahumanu. The school opened in 1842 with 15 students. Children of missionaries soon caused the school to grow quickly. Punahou is now a huge campus, with students from all over the world. Their most famous alumni however, is Barack Hussein Obama.

When I began my series of lectures, which were to cover an entire week to students in the middle grades to High School, things seemed to go well. My subject matter was the virtues of using our education, wealth, and life advantages for the betterment of mankind, serving, and ultimately reaching the world with the love and good news of the Messiah Yeshua. Trouble began when I was told by the campus Chaplains that I was not to “preach” to the children, or speak of Yeshua too much. I thought this peculiar, since this was originally a believer’s school founded by missionaries. The Chaplain staff actually seemed to be walking in fear of “offending” any of the “diversity” in the student body, and I was told that the school welcomes Buddhists, Shintoists, Muslims, etc. etc. When I was given a tour of the campus and met some of the faculty, it quickly became clear that I was in the midst of the most politically-correct, left-leaning, enviromentally activist school I’ve ever encountered. It was difficult to discern anyone who would actually admit to being a true Judeo/Christian believer. I’m not exagerating.

Well, two days into my lecture series, in which I made efforts to not “offend” anyone, the hammer fell. I was suddenly informed that a “special meeting” was set up with the school president and his principal staffers. The Chaplain who invited me seemed to be near to panic. I asked him what was going on, and he told me in hushed tones that “an article” I had written on my website, which was critical of radical Islam, had come to the president’s attention and was causing an uproar. Members of the Islamic community had written a letter of complaint because of my “attitudes” and wanted me fired and put off the campus.

I won’t go into detail about my meeting that afternoon in the plush offices of Punahou’s president and the principals of the grade levels, but if you picture the “inquisition” debacle that took place at the confirmation hearings of Judge Clarence Thomas, or the roast that Lt.Col Ollie North endured, you’d have a pretty good idea. (Disclaimer: I in no way think of myself as equal to, or ‘on-par’ with, these great men. I’m only trying to give you a mental picture of what I was subjected to.) They were outraged, waving a print-out of the offending article, and decrying my “Islamophobia.” Although I tried to explain to them that my article was directed entirely toward “radical” Islamics, and at no time had I even mentioned the subject in my lectures to the students, to these men, my mere presence on campus as a guest lecturer was absolutely intolerable. (So much for the left’s “tolerance.”) It was clear that “my kind” was an unwelcome blot on Punahou’s reputation, and the LAST thing they wanted to do was “offend” the many Islamic parents whose children attended the school. As a result, in order to not offend the “Muslim Community,” I was summarily dismissed, all remaining lectures cancelled, and asked to leave the campus. Score one for Mohammed.

This painful incident gave me tremendous insights into their famous former student, Obama. If  this was the atmosphere he was nurtured in and indoctrinated with, then it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest that he had embraced the most radical ideaologies. Suffice to say, I believe, based on this and many, many other evidences, that Barack Hussein Obama is a Marxist who cleverly ran a “stealth” campaign as a “moderate” in order to gain the most powerful office in our nation. I’m also convinced that he is moving at break-neck speed to destroy the United States as a Constitutional Republic and replace it with Communism.

There are yet those who will read this, continue to close their eyes and minds, and reject not only what I said, but also seek to marginalize me. So be it. I’m confident of my position, and well-aware that one day I may have to pay a dear price for my love of America and all she stands for. I shall take my place proudly at the side of brave men and women who fought, prayed, and died in the service of this wonderful nation, blessed by God. We’ve come a long way, and while it is true that many of us have lost our way and given place to greed, corruption, and evil, the dream is still alive. Maybe, just maybe we can find our way back to the greatness that once honored God and liberated untold millions from the cruel boot of oppression and slavery.

American capitalism--Gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
 
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years.

The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was… But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
 
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elite’s and betters.
 
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics.

Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives.

The leftist citizens of America care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. (Eat, drink & be merry)  Then these ignorant leftist turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy.”

Pride blinds the foolish.
 
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more than happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another.  Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power.

Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
 
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama.

His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world!

If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not,  America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
 
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars.

These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison.
 
These thieves, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another.

They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.
 
Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, this self-anointed American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
 
So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, Obama’s Czars would happily try and redesign the whole of the world, too.

Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, as it only leads to disaster.

Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing as compared to these ‘foolish, drunken Russians’, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
 
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but still a “freeman” whimper….so far.
 
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses?

Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert cavorting in his ‘Marxist enlightenment’, has led this effort. He bleats this only affects companies that receive government monies. However it is actually retroactive and thus would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive…which basically includes ALL businesses.
 
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should carefully consider closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of Red America as fast as possible.
 In other words, divest while there is still value left.

Unjustifiability proud Americans will go down into their pit of slavery without a fight, beating their chest and proclaiming to the world, how free they really are. The world will only snicker at their stupidity.

 I often hear well-meaning people say that it is important that children be properly “socialized.” Usually this comes up in conversations when I tell them my 13-year-old daughter is being home-schooled (as were my two older children).

I understand that most people who raise such concerns are speaking about the need for children to be able to get along with other children in a group setting. This is, of course, perfectly reasonable. A well-rounded education certainly does not consist of merely being able to regurgitate facts and perform math computations. As humans, we are intrinsically ‘wired’ to interrelate with people in a wholesome and mutually beneficial circumstances. Social skills like sharing, compassion, empathy, and a sense of responsibility for others (outside ourselves) well-being is indisputably an important part of a well-rounded personality.

I usually answer that my daughter is probably over-socialized, in that she regularly spends time in group settings like dance classes, our home-school co-op, and our House Church (click for info). At 13, she is comfortable in conversation with all ages, regularly shares her things with friends, and has a caring, compassionate attitude toward her world.

Not only this, but she tested-out last year (using the Iowa Skills Exam) several grades ahead of the national average in every subject, and is even doing college-level work in several subjects in spite of the fact that she was only in the 7th grade. This usually ends the discussion, since most public school children cannot make such boasts. It’s not that their children are less intelligent than my little girl. It is more a statement about the state of government education.

With regard to the “socialization” issue however, I must now restrain myself. If I really opened up and said what I think about the dismal state of  ”government education,” and the “Educrats” that run it, I would lose all sense of polite decorum and begin ranting and howling with blood squirting out of my eyes and ears (like the madman most liberals assume that I am). I will therefore withhold any such ranting, control my emotions, and try to calmly deal with this issue in a restrained tone worthy of a National Public Radio interview on “All Things Considered.”

I will only allow myself this one indulgence into the ‘rant zone:’ Children are not being “socialized” in public schools. They are being BRAINWASHED into MARXIST SOCIALISM! More than this, whatever “socializing” they are experiencing with regard to politeness, decorum, and ethical or moral behavior, well, I am a product of the public school system. I can confidently say that I decided early-on not to let this negative schooling life-experience get in the way of my subsequent education. (Apologies to Mark Twain) There, I got it off my chest!

The latest outrage is the increasing practice of exposing younger and younger children to “socialist” propaganda in films, assemblies, and anti-conservative rants by teachers who are following Dewey’s injunction to act as prophets ”…of the ‘true’ God and the usherer-in of the ‘true’ Kingdom of God.” Really folks, I didn’t make this up! ¹

A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF INDOCTRINATION:

Recently, a 20-minute video surfaced called “The Story of Stuff,” narrated by Annie Leonard, and commissioned by the Tides Foundation. ² Tides is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides funding for “progressive” groups. For those unfamiliar with the term “progressive,” this is a sanitized, politically-neutral word for “Marxist.”

Children across the nation are being shown this video, and thus far, little notice has been made of it since it’s a cutsie, cartoonish, cheerful, and disarmingly clever presentation of anti-capitalism under the cover of “saving the earth.” I have found some rebuttals to the video, and I urge you to take time to watch the videos below. Share this link with your friends, particularly those with children in public schools, and warn them of the danger.

I saw this video today and HAD to post it here. Whatever people may think about these young filmmakers, they have done our nation a great service. Hannah Giles is a homeschooled product of a godly, patriotic home, and is the WORST NIGHTMARE of the Obama camp and the ACORN thugs who put him in office. Watch this video and draw your own conclusions. Please PRAY for this young lady. I have no doubt that she is in mortal danger.

The Senate is about to shove through (and down our collective throats) the confirmation of quite possibly the most radical Obama-appointed “Czar” yet. Sen. Harry Reid has declared that he is planning to push for “cloture” to force a Senate vote on the confirmation of Sunstein.

A letter from the U.S. Department of Education was recently sent to America’s school principals, announcing that President Barack Obama “will deliver a national address to the students of America” on Tuesday, September 8, at 12 noon EDT. The letter encourages “students of all ages, teachers, and administrators to participate in this historic moment by watching the president deliver the address, which will be broadcast on the White House website.”

The letter goes on to state that the President “…will speak directly to the nation’s children and youth about persisting and succeeding in school.” and “…encourages educators to use this moment” to lay aside their ordinary lesson plans and choose from a “menu of classroom activities” prepared by the Obama administration’s own “teachers-in-residence” and “Teaching Ambassador Fellows.”

The climax of this outrage is a letter announcing that the Obama Department of Education is “launching the ‘What I am to Learn’ video contest,” offering three grand prizes of $1,000 cash to the best responses to the President’s educational challenge, to be awarded in October by a “panel of judges including” Obama’s own Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan. There is a dark underside to this little exercise that is more than troubling.

Part of the exercise was to include teachers putting up “quotations” from Obama on the walls, and having the children making a “pledge” to do what they can to “serve” President Obama. This is the pinch of arsenic in the sweet-pie. Under our constitution, (unlike nations like North Korea or China) our leaders SERVE US. They are our employees and as such, we are NOT their servants! I fear that we are witnessing the beginnings of an effort to recruit our children into a dangerous cult of personality worship not unlike what we saw in Socialist Germany in the 1930s.

First of all, can anyone show me a reference in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights giving the President the slightest shred of authority to operate in the role of “Superintendent in Chief” of a national education system? Look for it. It will not be found! This is nothing less than a transparent, contemptuous, and extremely dangerous move on the part of the Left in our country to move the nation toward their agenda through our children! The only encouraging part of this sorry spectacle is that I’m hearing that no small numbers of parents are planning to keep their children home on Tuesday, and some school Principals are refusing to allow the online video to be shown in their schools. No doubt pressures will be brought to bear upon those brave dissenters in the months to come.

Is this a new tactic on the part of Socialists and Progressives to influence the education environment and the minds of our children? You might be surprised to know that the answer is emphatically NO. This has been a part of a decades-long agenda beginning around the turn of the 19^th century. Journey with me now into a place were the foundations of our Republic were beginning to crumble away. A place where reason and faith were supplanted by an atheistic, humanistic, socialistic mindset that is entirely intolerant of any “belief system” other than its own.

Come with me now, into the “Public Education Zone.”

Our story begins with the establishment of the secular public school system, and to understand it, we must examine who actually set it in motion in America. If you’ve never been exposed to this information, it might seem extreme. Truth sometimes has that effect on you when you’ve lived inside the Matrix all your life. Maybe it’s time to take the red pill, and see how far down the rabbit hole goes… (Reference to the secular film, The Matrix) ¹

Dewey: “The Father of Modern Education”

John Dewey has been called the “Father of Modern Education.” What is not widely known is that he was also a totalitarian socialist who envisioned total government control over all education through the agency of public schools. He believed that through secular public education, a throng of indoctrinated socialists could be brought to power and transform America into a totalitarian society. The world he envisioned would eliminate the Judeo-Christian paradigm. He built his socialist education dream-house with lumber he borrowed from a book titled; “Looking Backward,” published in 1887 by Edward Bellamy, a fellow totalitarian socialist. ²

The foundation-stone of Dewey’s vision was his utter rejection of the existence of ultimate truth. Because the very concept of God is an absolute, he dismissed belief in God and postulated that moral relativism and evolutionary forces govern human existence through chance-random processes. Dewey recognized that deeply held religious convictions, especially those based upon the Bible, would not be easily eradicated from society and would require a long period of “progressive” indoctrination in compulsory public schools. Eventually, the students of these schools would grow up to be teachers and school administrators themselves and would pass on, perhaps unwittingly, the assumptions and world-views of secularism and socialism. What better place for this societal transformation to take place but in the minds and hearts of impressionable children? In fact, Dewey’s book, Democracy and Education, was listed by Human Events magazine as fifth in a list of the ten most harmful books of the 19^th and 20^th centuries. ³

Most people are unaware that Dewey was a prominent signer of the socialist/atheist Humanist Manifesto. ⁴ Secular Humanism is a belief system that utterly rejects the concept of sin, the existence of God, or any need of forgiveness or salvation. Humanism has an entirely different understanding of salvation, asserting that man is his own god, and any “salvation” must come from his own enlightened efforts. Dewey championed Darwinian evolution as the foundation of true science as a means of marginalizing any belief in God as utter ridiculousness. ⁵  Between 1945 and 1953, Dewey’s articles and books virtually amounted to the Americanized version of the Communist Manifesto. His influence helped introduce Marxist socialism into the American culture. History has proven repeatedly that wherever these evil ideologies have gained a foothold, human enslavement, poverty, and misery has multiplied.

Dewey disdained those who maintained “originalist” interpretations of the U.S. Constitution. Because he thought it ludicrous to believe in fixed, unchanging realities, ⁶ he gave philosophical support to the modern idea that the Constitution is a “living document” and must change according to the demands of “Progressivism.” Such fixed landmarks on the political and societal horizons must be removed, and replaced with a socialist totalitarian society free of moral or biblical restraint. He set in motion public education policies that relentlessly sought to identify and eliminate any teacher who continued to hold conservative views. This practice continues to this day, with Christian teachers frequently reprimanded or dismissed for simply displaying a personal bible in open view upon their desk. For a comprehensive study of how these totalitarian thinkers have influenced American public education, I recommend A Brief Chronology of Collectivism by Eric Samuelson, Attorney At Law (October 1997)

Recent polls demonstrate that the vast majority of youth today do not believe in the existence of absolute truth, or the concept of absolute right and wrong. Due to the effectiveness of the socialist agenda in our nation’s public schools, most of our people’s beliefs are now based on what will make them feel good, or give immediate selfish gratification, without much regard for truthful or ethical standards. ⁷  Throughout Dewey’s life, he diligently sought to establish a public school curriculum that erodes Christianity and absolute values, slowly replacing them with relativism. He has been remarkably successful over the past century.

Dewey labored successfully to remove from the “accepted” curriculum list the long-established Eclectic Education Series (EES) textbooks which completely dominated American schools from 1865 to 1915. He also targeted Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Law. Self-proclaimed “tolerant” liberal progressives cannot tolerate views such as the EES textbooks or Blackstone’s Commentaries because they contained ubiquitous references to God and high moral standards. Blackstone was vilified for teaching that laws ultimately originate from God’s word, and taught that there were certain rights and wrongs that never change with the shifting winds of popular opinion. ⁸  McGuffe’s Readers, part of the ESS series, were particularly hated by Dewey and his cohorts because, as Dewey declared in his own words, public schools should be the “State established church.”

Dewey’s socialist activism extended even to helping establish the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).  The ACLU was founded by an associate of Dewey, Roger Nash Baldwin. ⁹  Baldwin was a member of the Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA), and was a master at the art of deception regarding his true agendas. ¹⁰  It appears that the deception has been largely successful. Most people look at you askance if you dare to say that the ACLU is a Communist hack organization.

Dewey was also highly influential in the establishment in 1917 of the National Education Association (NEA). ¹¹  Most people are completely ignorant of the true agenda of this organ of the Left, and think it exists to provide a good education to their children. The reality is, however, that the NEA is one of the foremost apparatchiks of public school indoctrination to destroy young minds and turn them into committed little liberal progressives. ^{12 13}

Dewey became even busier. In the 1920s and 30s he foisted his views on progressive evolutionism at Peking University and many other places in China with the liberal progressive, Bertrand Russell. Ironically, Mao Zedong, co-founder of the Communist Party of China (CPC) worked and studied at the University of Peking during that time, and was introduced to Communism there. Is it not possible that Dewey was a contributing factor in the Marxist Cultural Revolution that occurred there in the late 1940s, and resulted in slaughter of tens of millions of people? ¹⁴

Totalitarians view state schools as a means to indoctrinate children as loyal wards of the State. School children are encouraged to reject their parent’s values and even report on them to school authorities when asked. (“Johnny, how many guns does your daddy have at home?”) Dewey firmly believed that children had to be reeducated away from the traditional values of their parents, thereby facilitating citizens for the new world order. Has anyone noticed a similar trend in America’s public schools over the past few decades?

Increasingly, “politically correct” revisionist history books that undermine free-enterprise and loyalty to the United States are finding their way into our classrooms. Recently, incidents of ranting anti-American, socialist teachers have been captured by students who recorded these indoctrination sessions with digital recorders.¹⁵ These reports have been largely ignored by the media and public at large.

Leftist radicals were publishing and promoting textbooks with a socialist agenda even as far back as the 1940s. For example, the Rockefeller Foundation spent millions of (1940) dollars to create history books introducing socialist/atheistic agendas in so-called “approved texts” to local school districts. Did these socialist activists ever stop their agenda? No! Even the California Library Association (a far-left liberal advocacy group) confirmed this fact by posted a scathing rebuttal against conservatives who wanted to stop Marxist indoctrination in the library and school systems in the 40s and 50s.¹⁶

Now we find ourselves in a socialist “Twilight Zone” after the recent presidential campaign. A majority of the electorate became enamored with the concept of “Change,” or “Change We Can Believe In,” with hardly a passing thought about what that “change” would actually mean in practical terms. Judging from what we can read between the lines, we can reasonably expect a radical plunge into a socialist “new world” nightmare. After over fifty years of public school socialist indoctrination, our people seem sufficiently dumbed-down and willing to embrace socialism and secularism. This is playing out just as Dewey and his fellow-travelers envisioned!

Why is this issue so important to these government officials? Perhaps more importantly, why are such huge numbers of parents “opting out” of the public school system and risking the wrath of the State by doing so?

Could it possibly be that parents are deeply concerned with the abysmal academic quality of a public school education? Well-documented studies have shown conclusively that public schools are turning out students with grade equivalences on par with some third-world African nations in spite of massive annual infusions of billions of tax dollars to feed this insatiable system. In 1983, the Reagan administration appointed a blue-ribbon commission to report on the state of American public education. The result was alarming. The report titled, “A Nation at Risk,” sent shockwaves across the nation. Politicians made speeches, school officials sputtered their indignation, and yet, little has improved since then. A Christian Science Monitor report in 2003 revealed that our nation’s schools are in as much a crisis now as then. ¹⁷ Even the liberal Boston Globe released an alarming report on public education in 2006, calling for radical reforms.¹⁸

Perhaps most parents are also not terribly excited about their kids being taught to put condoms on bananas or cucumbers, ¹⁹ or that their God-given gender is a mere happenstance, and they must “explore their sexual identity” even in the primary grades? ²⁰

Or, could it be that parents of faith are distressed that the entire concept of God, (especially the Christian one) is treated like plutonium in public schools; replaced with evolution’s “everything-is-an-accident-and-therefore-nothing-has-meaning” delusions?

Perhaps it just might be that millions of American parents have finally gone beyond being merely annoyed, and are now completely fed-up with the entire public education apparatus itself, and have every reason to believe that those running it have a far different agenda than simply teaching our children math, history, or science. ²¹

I fear we are witnessing the deconstruction of our Constitutional Republic resulting primarily from the “re-education camps” popularly known as public schools. No longer is this radical agenda found in the Colleges and Universities alone, but the radical left has captured the lower grades in the government schools. While they tout slogans about “tolerance” and “multi-culturalism,” the real agenda is the eradication of all competing beliefs and ideologies, particularly Judeo-Christian ones. Their goal is a one-world socialist order where an elite few rule over the ignorant masses and enslave them.

Some of my friends who are either public school teachers or administrators, or, have enrolled their children in the public schools for one reason or another, may feel a bit defensive and perhaps a little offended at this point. Please forgive me, but I cannot hold my peace. Truth is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow. I maintain that you are putting the spiritual and emotional health of not only yourself, but also your children, at grave risk by placing them in these government schools.

The usual defense I get is some variation of; “But our school different! We have great teachers there!” This may be true, and I acknowledge that many public school teachers are loving dedicated people who are not personally in agreement with the dark side of the system they serve. However, you can be sure that these teachers are closely monitored and live daily under the threat of censure or dismissal if they communicate in even the slightest degree to their students, their personal convictions about their faith, or misgivings about the indoctrination taking place. There are also certainly varying degrees of the socialist/humanist indoctrination agenda in play at various schools, often depending on how rural that school may be, and individual administrators. However, I maintain that the underlying “agenda” is definitely present, however cleverly masked it may be, even if only by what is excluded from the curriculum.

In light of the above, it is no surprise that California’s radical-left Judiciary sought to outlaw all home schooling in practicality. They know that private and parochial schools and home schools are the last bastion of freedom. They fear that un-indoctrinated home-school students may rise up and oppose their socialist agenda. Karl Marx called such upstarts “Reactionaries.” The “new world order” zealots must crush all other ideas, especially ones that inculcate a supreme loyalty to the God of the Bible over the State.

I cannot speak for the resolve others may hold regarding this issue, but as a home-schooling father, I will resist any effort to indoctrinate my grade-school daughter, or my grandchildren into the socialist “new world order.” This is culture war. My fervent hope and prayer is that it will not esclalate into something even more ominous. We didn’t seek this conflict, but it has come nevertheless, forced upon us by those who wish to fundamentally change our nation and world into a humanistic, atheistic, totalitarian nightmare. As the actor Sean Connery said in his King Arthur character in the film First Knight, “There’s a peace to be found only on the other side of war. If that battle must come, I will fight it!”

Will we prevail in our struggle to retain the freedom to educate our children according to our faith with academic excellence and patriotic conviction? Let us hope so, for the price we will pay for defeat is far too terrible to contemplate. Are we willing to stand for truth and pay freedom’s price yet again? Are there yet among us those who would resist tyranny with “our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor?” One thing is certain. If we do nothing, if we refuse to speak out and remain on the sidelines in this battle, we will ensure our defeat and enslavement.

A conservative activist friend, Crista Huff, attended the anti-stimulus protest rally at the Denver Capitol. Since I couldn’t attend, I asked her to send a report on what she observed there.

I forgot about reporting while I was at the event, so I didn’t take pictures.  You can use this writing if you like:

 

My girls and I, ages 7, 10 and 13, arrived at the Capitol in Denver for the Anti-Stimulus Rally at about 12:10 PM.  We got the last parking space in the nearest big parking lot, but the parking payment machine was out of order.  We all said a prayer asking that we wouldn’t get a parking ticket, and then walked to the Capitol.

 

I was surprised that the crowd was distinctly smaller than the crowd at the Pro-Israel Rally in January, maybe 500 people.  Various legislators took quick turns denouncing the Stimulus Package, and reiterated that it would saddle our children and grandchildren with debt for decades to come.  The crowd intermittently chanted “no more pork!”. 

 

We heard from former Congressman Tom Tancredo, State Senator Dave Schultheis, State Rep. Frank McNulty, Jon Caldara from the Independence Institute and others.  Nationally-syndicated writer Michelle Malkin was on hand, and she’s truly gorgeous, smiling all the while.

 

There was a roasted pig, which got eaten after the speeches ended at 12:30 PM.  There was also a live pig which was led up to the podium to accentuate the pork in the spending package.  The kids loved the pig!  It looked not so much like a farm pig as some kind of wild thing from Borneo — black and hairy and remarkable, like a caricature of a fierce animal.

 

Afterwards, the girls and I said hello to various friends from Republican politics and the media.  Rep. Carole Murray from our House District 45 graciously showed us around a bit inside the Capitol.  I knew that the girls would love the grand architecture, and they also enjoyed the stairs, the elevators, and the nooks and crannies typical of an old building.

 

The girls marveled at the Senate Gallery.  I pointed at the Senators’ desks and discussed that this was where the Senators debated bills, and gestured toward the gallery wherein the spectators sit.  My oldest daughter Isabella noticed that some of the Senators’ desks were quite messy and others were neat.  She wondered if our friend State Senator Ted Harvey had a neat desk or a messy one.  I defended Ted and assured her that he was probably one of the neat ones, but truly, I have no idea!

 

The funniest part was that in the Senate Gallery, the armrests have built-in ashtrays.  The girls asked what those metal contraptions were, and when I said they were ashtrays, they truly had no idea to what I was referring!

 

Before leaving, we perused all the portraits of the Presidents on the third floor.  Right away, everyone wanted to go see the crazy-haired man in one of the portraits, who turned out to be Martin Van Buren. We discussed the concept of “dueling” while viewing his picture.  We had to pay homage to Abraham Lincoln, and the girls were duly impressed.

 

A good time was had by all.  Even though the Stimulus is a fiscal disaster, and an affront to Christianity — there’s a provision in there which tells Universities that if they accept stimulus money they can’t use it for refurbishing any campus building in which religious groups meet — I have taught my girls to approach life in a constructive manner, and perhaps my cheery optimism has rubbed off on them, along with my faith in Christ.  I am raising them to identify and solve problems, personal and national problems, and all types in between, with a hefty dose of prayer and calling upon the LORD for intervention when He is willing.  Amen!
